Ilha do Guajirú - Real Estate

The whole Ilha do Guajirú was owned by Binu (the former mayor of Itarema) and used as a coconut plantage. Approx. in the year 2000 the frist brazilian pousadas werer built at the center of Ilha do Guajirú, close to the main road. In 2006 the first foreingers/kiters explored Ilha do Gaujirú and some investors started to buy beach front land. In 2007 an investor, Beachlife Realestate Ltda. bought approx. 100.000 m² land far outside of the center and started to create plots for sale. Mostly not attractive land because of mangroves block the access to the beach, the mangroves also block the wind and there are no roads or energy.

The whole land split is under investigation of the Ibama (environmental authority):
