There are different ways to come to Ilha do Guajirú.

 

By rental car . The road from the airport Fortaleza to Ilha do Guajirú is almost new and the distance is approx. 230 km.

Just follow the CE085 and pass Pecem, Taiba, Paracuru, Lagoinha, Flexeiras till Itarema. In Itarema just follow the beach (Praia) signs.

The daily rate for an economy car is approx. 50 EUR. You can take over the rental car at the airport or in your Pousada.

The most economical way to get to Ilha do Guajirú is by bus. There is a big, airco bus (bus also takes kite luggage for free) which starts close to the airport 5 times a day to Jeri. The bus stops at Itarema after approx. 6 hours. At the bus station you will find a taxi which takes you for approx. 15 EUR to Ilha. The price for the bus ticket is approx. 20 EUR per person. On the way back from Itarema to Fortaleza the bus will take you directly to the airport for a small fee.

In the high season there is also ones a day a bus connection between Cumbuco and Jeri (stops at Itarema too). The ticket costs approx. 30 EUR per person.
